Red Lady- Manding Calma

Kagawad Manding Calma is a small scale grower of Red Lady papaya in Suclayin. His farm is located at the back of Suclayin Elementary School.

To maximize the potential of the farm, he intercrop tomatoes along with the red lady's. Aside from papayas, he also grow stringbeans and squash. The crops in his farm are now receiving nutrition of BPN.

Kagawad Calma along with Rene Pablo will be the caretakers of the 1.1hectare OFW farms to be planted with Red Lady's.

Newly Transplanted Red lady's- Narcing Magkalas

After two weeks of delivering the 106 Red lady papaya seedlings at the farm of Narcing Magkalas in Bitas, I did make a visit to see the development of the newly transplanted seedlings.

I know the seedlings are not healthy because these are only the leftover in a crowded nursery from the batch taken by Romie Austria.

The papayas recovered well and I am sure the crop will grow healthy after few more weeks. The red lady's were transplanted along with the plantation of Diamante Tomatoes.

I advised Kap Narcing to spray also the tomatoes with BPN to achieve heavy fruiting.

The Resthouse at the farm

THE RESTHOUSE

This is the resthouse at the farm.

During summer, family friends, visitors from Manila are coming to the farm to escape the hot and humid metropolis.

Many are attracted with the beauty and most of all the serenity of the place. Here you can smell the cool fresh air coming straight from the foot of Mount Arayat. A place very far away from pollution, smog that shorten our lives.

I invite everyone to visit me in my farm.

Here I can offer you hot salabat na hinaluan ng kamote at gatas. Did you already taste this morning drink?

The old ways is always considered the best!

Amir - my GSD

I dream of owning a GSD dog a long long time ago, but owning one is a lifetime responsibility that is why I did not attempt to get one until I retired from Saudi Arabia.

Amir came to our life in May of 2007, barely 3 months old, a bubbly german shepherd puppy, traced from the pedigree of Philippine Champion, Yanbou.

Complete with certificate, I raised and considered the GSD as a part of our family.

Nobody can enter the farm without my knowledge. Amir tiredlessly raced straight into our gate to whoever visitors knocking at our gate.

At night, we sleep soundly. I know Amir is making rounds every hour of the night to protect the family.

Euphorbia in my Farm

For almost a year, I've been experimenting and testing BPN to all our plants in the farm.

I sprayed BPN once a week with these selected varieties of Euphorbia. Flowers bloom in fresh stunning beauty as shown in the pictures.

Euphorbia aficionados in San Matias, Sta Rita, San Simon and Porac are now using BPN in spraying their priceless garden of Euphorbias.

Diamante Tomatoes of Peping in Suclayin

Diamante Tomatoes

Blessed with the magic of BPN, the young and healthy diamante tomatoes of Peping are now ready to flower.

For one straight week showered by abundant sunlight, the crop is now ready to bear fruits.

Peping advised me that he will double doze the spraying of BPN to produce big and healthy fruits.

While enriching my eyes with his healthy and well cultivated crops as I walked back home, he shouted at me the reservation of one more gallon of BPN!

RED LADY of Peping in Suklayin

Red Lady of Peping in Suclayin

His farm is only 200 meters away from my farm in Suclayin. He was the first one who joined the bandwagon of planting the red lady papaya.

Almost everyday, as early as 5:00 a.m. in the morning, you can even traced his footmarks breaking the morning dew going straight to his farm.

He is attending a one hectare of farmland planted with different crops.

FYI, he was the first farmer who used BPN in Suclayin.

These are the fruits of Red Lady in my farm as of Sept. 13, 2008.

As I inspected the 250 papayas planted surrounding the farm, I pressumed that 20 percent are now fruiting, the rest are all with flowers.

The first pick shall be in November or December 2008.

RED LADY in my farm

The sweetness of the Red Lady drives my interest to plant and plant for more trees and more more trees!

One Taiwanese company who is engaged in agriculture in the Philippines for more than 25 years had requested me to plant this crop in large scale, 8 hectares is even earmarked as my production within the next 3 years of venturing in this field.

More hectares to be planted with red lady, the more BPN to be used as the main nutrition for the plant.

In April, I put my finger inside the world of planting red lady. I bought 2 packages (5grams each) of red lady and germinated the seeds in my farm.

In two months, the seedlings were taken care at my nursery, and comes the first week of June, we transplanted the plant in all spaces where there is abundant supply of sunlight.

In 3 months, flowers started to come out of sight and in just a matter of 2 weeks, the young bud started to come out to form the most craved elusive fruit.
