JANUARY 14, 2008HOLDING OF BPN SEMINAR
During our travel along the way to Pinabacdao, we've seen that Region 8 really needs help when it comes to Agriculture.
We gave courtesy call to former board member, Mr. Quijano, proponent of the plant now pay later program.
It was a well attended seminar, well known big farmers from municipality of Leyte, former DA Managing Director, agriculturists, agriculture students from University of Eastern Visayas. It started at 10:00 am and even ended closed to 6:00pm.
Topics were discussed, starting on my introduction about BPN, Mar de Vera overview of Hybrid seed production and Flurh Dagante's testimony and technical expertise about BPN.
Participants were very interested, so many questions asked and been answered.
The next day, we met Pinabacdao Mayor, Dr. Mario Quijano, who will play a big role in executing the projects in Pinabacdao.
